Good News: Montana Supreme Court Affirms Landmark Youth-Led Climate Ruling!

On December 18, the Montana Supreme Court upheld the landmark Held v. State of Montana decision, siding with the 16 youth plaintiffs who sued over the state’s promotion of fossil fuel extraction and neglect of climate impacts. This first-of-its-kind ruling affirms that the state's actions violated their constitutional right to a clean and healthful environment, dignity, and safety.
